Scoping
We offer a comprehensive professional scoping service that covers all of the individual areas required in converting traditional mainframe based applications into dynamic customer facing web, desktop and wireless solutions. We're not only building bridges that web-enable your legacy systems, we set the foundation for a good, sound overall plan that addresses all your needs in the agreed timescales. From initial definition and design of user interface standards through to the delivery of quality applications including support and monitoring using our in-house team of designers, computer graphic artists, developers, and database administrators we work in concert with your company to scope exactly the right aesthetics and architecture for your corporate needs, from simple communications requirements to advanced database and commercial transactions.
Our approach has been tested in the real world and proved successful with a wide range of our client companies and this allows us to provide our clients with a statement of work that can be broken down into individual deliverable components
Proof Of Concept
Unlike traditional development projects "Seeing is Believing", we therefore encourage all our clients to begin with a fixed price proof of concept project where we look at a subset of the whole project and deliver a working example. This typically consists of the development of one Host Application process or transaction (typically less than 15 screens) that can be deployed to a subset of end-users/executives for feedback and signoff. During this phase the foundations for "full-scale" development are set in place. The prototype is typically also used to gain "buy-in" from the end-users/executives prior to beginning a full-scale development effort.
Integration
The Integration phase involves the integration of the developed application to external systems this typically is the first stage of any project and common examples include:
- One-way or two-way integration to external web-based systems, maintaining single-sign on capabilities as necessary.
- Integration with external mainframe applications via existing screen based TP systems.
- One-way or two-way integration to external desktop applications (e.g. CRM, Office applications), maintaining single-sign on capabilities as necessary.
- Integration with external databases (Oracle, DB/2, etc.).
- Integration with telephony applications.
- Linking to external e-mail systems.
Web Application Development
We recognise that not all our clients have the internal resource or skill base to allow them to rapidly deploy a Net.Visual solution and gain business advantage. We therefore offer a full development service where we provide the tools and expertise to deliver fixed price projects using one of our in-house development teams. Using Net.Visual we rapidly create and deliver re-engineered systems in a matter of weeks and can build and deploy applications using many interfaces, such as .NET, Web, WAP, VB, C++, and Java. Throughout the development life cycle we provide Project Management and focus on ensuring that the implementation occurs within the agreed schedules and budget.
Implementation
During Implementation we work closely with our clients to make sure that the developed application is transitioned into the production environment with the minimum of disruption. All our consultants have as some stage of their career worked within a production environment and have an understanding of how important a production environment is. twincentric provides a Project Review to assess your current development environment, recommend "best practices" procedures, and perform a comprehensive system review prior to your project's production deployment
Training
We provide Education Services that are designed to enable you to implement Twincentric solutions in the quickest and most efficient manner. In most instances we are able to provide specific training based upon both our Net.Visual technology and the clients specific application.
Support
Our Technical Support department provides a Support Maintenance Program designed to help our clients obtain the best from our products and services.
All clients are offered 30 days of support from the date of purchase of Net.Visual. After this period has elapsed, only clients with a valid Support and Maintenance Contract will receive further assistance.
As a fee-based offering, the annual maintenance plan provides Twincentric clients with a direct link to our help desk, staffed by highly trained professionals. In addition, our clients are entitled to access support services and place fault calls via our online Web based Help Desk.
The help desk offers the following services:
- Problem isolation.
- Bug workaround, reporting and tracking.
- Clarification of inconsistencies or ambiguities in product usage.
- Explanation and resolution of error messages.
- Product information transfer to clients.
- Remote diagnostics.
- Escalation and priority issues resolution.
