Smart Fields
At Twincentric, we are making Smart Fields a reality via our unique production monitoring capabilities. We have proven experience in applying our technology to gather and make production data available in real-time. Several international oil majors are currently using the Twincentric Control Intelligence System (CIS) in a variety of oil fields throughout the world.
We specialize in the acquisition of data from wells anywhere and, in turn, present that data in a centralized, consolidated view. In a production setting, we capture data at the wellhead (temperature, pressure, flow rate, choke setting, etc.) from downhole sensors via our Intelligence Gateway, which securely packages the data and delivers it securely to a central server via the most appropriate communications technology (PSTN, ISDN, Inmarsat or Iridium).
At the heart of Twincentric's Control Intelligence is the Asset Optimization Engine - which maintains a set of known production problems in the form of models of optimal or expected behaviour. These production problems (or syndromes) are monitored on a continuous, real-time basis, looking for tell-tale signs of predicted problems such as sand or water breakthrough. Whenever well assets begin to function outside of their predetermined operating range, or show early signs of problems, alerts and alarms are generated, sent to key personnel via SMS or email. This means we can help identify a potential problem before it occurs - saving you costly downtime and repair work.
Everything is viewed through the simple, web-based Syndrome Recognition Console, a digital-dashboard style console showing where problems exist on currently monitored assets. The console allows users - from oil field engineers to senior managers - to access production data quickly.
Through the console, users can:
- configure alert recipients and fine-tune production syndrome trigger levels
- compare downhole data over time and varying depths to gain a better understanding of each well's performance
- perform a range of analysis and download data directly to your desktop
- benchmark different assets from different world-wide locations, in real-time
- By helping to predict and prevent shut-downs and work-overs, the Control Intelligence System combines SCADA-type alerts with risk management and business information functionality that's powerful, flexible and accessible world-wide.
